New Students

Establish Residency

1. Verify your address is within District 30

Check the district boundary map to confirm your primary residence is located within the District 30 boundary. Once this has been established, you can begin the onlilne registration process by submitting the New Student Enrollment form (Link available starting February 3, 2025 @ 9:00 AM).

2. Create your Parent Portal Account

Once we confirm your address from the New Student Enrollment form, you will receive an email with the next steps, including how to create your District 30 Parent Portal account. 

3. Gather Documents

To verifiy residency, you will need digital copies of the paperwork as outlined below. This paperwork should include your child’s original birth certificate or passport as well as the required proof of residency. 

Parent(s) and/or guardians(s) must provide proof of residency at preschool and kindergarten registration and when entering as a new student for any other grade. The following information must be provided prior to the first day of the student's attendance. 

The required documents are as follows:

An original certified or registered birth certificate, with raised seal, or passport for the student

 

Affidavit of Residence & Establishing Student Residency Form

 

CATEGORY I 

(ONE document required)

  • Most recent property tax bill and proof of payment, e.g. canceled check (homeowners)
  • Executed Agreement of Sale (contract on home) and proof of closing documents (warranty deed)
  • Original signed and dated lease and proof of last month's payment, e.g. canceled check or receipts (renters).  The District must have a valid lease on file at the District Office at all times.  When your lease expires, it is expected that you bring in a copy of your new or renewed lease.
CATEGORY II

(TWO documents showing proper address required, you have 30 days to provide this, one MUST be a driver's license)

  • Driver's license (issued to current D30 address; you have 30 days to provide this)
  • Most recent cable television and/or credit card bill
  • Pay check stub
  • Current homeowners/rental insurance policy and premium payment receipt
  • Most recent gas, electric, and/or water bill

Merely sharing the documents listed in this process does not guarantee admission.  The District reserves the right to conduct investigations that may require a home visit or additional documents to verify residency.

4. Submit Residency Documents

After you have created your Parent Portal account and gathered the required documents, you will need to submit them on form "Residency Documents" within Parent Portal. 

Registration

1. Registration Forms

In the spring, the District Office will notify parents when the registration forms the for upcoming school year will be available in Parent Portal. All assigned forms and fee payments are required to be submitted before your child is officially enrolled in District 30.

2. Required Health Forms

The following forms can be downloaded from our District Documents & Health Forms page

  • Health Exam Form - Required for: New Students, Kindergarten, and 6th Grade
  • Eye Exam Form Or Waiver - Required for: New Students, Kindergarten
  • Dental Exam Form or Waiver - Required for: New Students, Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 6th Grade

Starting in May, health forms can be uploaded in Parent Portal under Forms > General Forms Tab > Health Forms or the physical copies of the completed forms can be dropped off at your child's school

Returning Students

If your child has attended District 30 in the past, but is not currently enrolled in District 30, please follow the New Student steps above.

Current preschool students enrolling in kindergarten will need to submit residency documents within Parent Portal
